What does it need to get stars?

The YachtCheck® requirement catalogue defines for each of the 5 quality classes own criteria for yacht charter operators and their charter fleets. Charter operators fulfilling relevant requirements will be certified by quality stars.

Read more about Classification

The catalogue of requirements for the 5-Star Quality Certification is valid for one year starting with the 1st January and ending with the 31st December.

The Quality Stars are exclusive and hierarchical. Substitution of missing quality requirements by other criteria is not valid. Each additional star represents a higher quality standard.

Quality Stars are operator related, meaning that the certification includes a whole charter base (operator) with all its yachts, like a hotel with all its rooms. Differences between single yachts of a charter fleet are welcome as long as the required quality criteria for the relevant class is fulfilled.

The quality requirements catalogue is revised after each charter season in order to keep pace with the developments on the charter market. At the 1st November of each year the revised quality requirement catalogue for the next calendar year will be published.
